A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood.
A fox saw the mouse, and the mouse looked good.
"Where are you going to, little brown mouse?
Come and have lunch in my underground house."
"It's terribly kind of you, Fox, but no –
I'm going to have lunch with a gruffalo."
"A gruffalo? What's a gruffalo?"
"A gruffalo! Why, didn't you know?
“He has terrible tusks, and terrible claws, and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws.”
“Where are you meeting him?”
“Here, by these rocks, and his favourite food is roasted fox.”
“Roasted fox! I’m off!” Fox said.
“Goodbye, little mouse,” and away he sped.
“Silly old Fox! Doesn’t he know, there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo?”
On went the mouse through the deep dark wood. An owl saw the mouse and the mouse looked good.
“Where are you going to, little brown mouse? Come and have tea in my treetop house.”
“It’s frightfully nice of you, Owl, but no – I am going to have tea with a Gruffalo.”
“A Gruffalo? What’s a Gruffalo?”
“A Gruffalo! Why, didn’t you know?”
“He has knobbly knees, and turned-out toes, and a poisonous wart at the end of his nose.”
“Where are you meeting him?”
“Here, by this stream, and his favourite food is owl ice cream.”
“Owl ice cream? Toowhit toowhoo!
Goodbye, little mouse,” and away Owl flew.
“Silly old Owl! Doesn’t he know, there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo!”
On went the mouse through the deep dark wood. A snake saw the mouse and the mouse looked good.
“Where are you going to, little brown mouse? Come and and play with me in my new house”, snake said.
“That’s sounds good, but I am busy now. I have promised to meet Gruffalo.”
“A Gruffalo? Who is he?”
“Why everyone in the forest doesn’t know who Gruffalo is? He was a big beast and like to eat Snake Noodle!”
The Snake was afraid with the mouse’s explanation and then he ran back to his house. Then, the mouse continued his journey.
While Fox, Owl, and Snake gathered at the snake’s house, they asked each other if a Gruffalo was existed.
“Did you meet the mouse and says that there is a Gruffalo in this wood?” asks Fox to Snake and Owl. “Yes, we did.” They answered.
“Well, I have an idea. What if we just follow th mouse to confirm the existence of Gruffalo?”
“That’s a good idea!” Owl said.
Then, they followed the mouse. In the middle of their journey, the mouse heard a creepy footprints. He looked around the wood. He met Fox, Owl, and Snake behind him!
“Hi! What are you doing here?” Mouse said.
“We do not believe in you if there is a Gruffalo here.” Snake said.
“We do not believe in you! You just want to protect yourself! There is no Gruffalo like you said in this wood!” said Owl angrily.
“I swear to God, I am not lying to you!” Mouse is in fear. Suddenly, there was a pounding of feet from the bushes. The Fox, Owl, Snake, and Mouse were panic.
Then, came the creature of large and creepy like an animal that mouse described earlier. Now Fox, Owl, and Snake believed that mouse said.
The Mouse also did not expect that the animal was exist, because it was only his imagination.
The creature ate the Snake, Owl, and Fox. The mouse frightened and he could not escape!
“MMM! You are my dessert, little mouse!” said Gruffalo. The mouse now realized that he was putting his own lie.
